What sort of jewlery would a gay couple give for engagement?
Q. Im not planning on getting engaged, lol not yet anyway. Anyway I'm a little curious as to what sort of jewelry a (male) gay couple would give/receive, because a diamond ring wouldn't really work because I cant actually Imagine a guy wearing one. So Im just a little curious as to what sort of jewelry gay people would wear as a sign of their engagement.

What sort of questions are asked at a job interview?
Q. I'm writing a story and there's a scene where my character (a 17 or 18 year old high school drop out) is being interviewed for some minimum-wage job (like janitorial services or house cleaning, that sort of thing). What sort of questions might the job interviewer ask? The character most likely wouldn't have had a previous job. She's a bit of a deadbeat.

What sort of education is required for a job building and designing new Disney World attractions?
Q. My six year old is insistent that we build a fully functioning Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, as seen in the cartoon on Playhouse Disney, complete with flying Toodles, in our back yard. He cried when I told him he'd have to wait til after college. He claims he'll grow up to build robots and machines anyway. If his goal were to be hired by Disney World to build the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, what sort of education would he need? OMG, he's already got every kind of building toy you can imagine. Erector sets, legos, magnetix, wooden erector sets, gears, k'nex. I got him a mousetrap game last week. He played it once then used the parts to build something else! I don't think there's any question as to what he wants to do!

Q. By this I mean, what sort of drugs which are illegal at street level, could be found in professional establishments such as a pharmacy or a clinic? A. Any prescribed drug that is not prescribed for you is "illegal at street level", so pharmacies are chock full of those. Controlled substances are kept locked away so they are harder to get hold of, and records are maintained to track where they go. Clinics tend not to have much in the way of drugs that would be used to get high, but from what I've seen on this forum, people will try just about anything. Clinics tend to have samples brought in by drug companies, and they are not allowed to give controlled substances out. If anything, they have coupons for those drugs. What sort of cable to i need to transfer data between 2 desktops?
Q. What sort of cable to i need to transfer data between 2 desktops? Like is it called a network cable? Or an ethereal net cable or something? Thanks
Asked by Zac N - Sat Jan 10 05:53:55 2009 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments
A. an ethernet cable is only half right. you need a crossover ethernet cable. the normal ethernet cable (such as a patch, or straight through) is meant to go from your computer to a router or hub, not to another computer. a crossover cable is meant to go from your computer to comptuer, or router to router. a straight through cable if your computer has an auto-mdx feature, which some of the new computers have, auto-mdx basically detects what the computer is connected to, and pretends the cable is a straight thru or crossover as it sees fit. oh the suggestion about the usb cable will also work, ive never used those but i've heard they work too.

What sort of magnification would you need to see sperm cells?
Q. Okay, say a particular friend of mine happened to have a very strong urge to ejaculate onto a slide and put it under a microscope. Hypothetically speaking of course. What sort of magnification would it need to be for him to be able to get a decently clear image of the little wriggly guys with the tails?
Asked by slonzor - Tue Jul 15 15:38:37 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Even a 40X (4X objective with 10X oculars) would be enough to see. However, I suggest you find a phase contrast microscope with 10X and 20X objectives (total mag is 100X and 200X, respectively). 20X might be too much magnification. You will be able to see the motility easily. You can use an upright or inverted microscopy. Make sure you have focused the condenser properly (use Kohler illumination methods). Suspend the sperm in a saline solution containing glucose. Do not put a coverslip on right away.

A. Income will depend on how good you are as a musician, how big of a crowd you will draw in, and what specific venue you will be performing at. playing at jazz bars here in nyc is very competitive. many of them are local musicians from schools like manhattan school of music. and just remember, ...first off, you will have to get a band together, practice and record a demo tape where you can send to bars, or clubs. I don't know many solo bassists (upright bass, right?) that are hired to perform by themselves. With "easing" your financial status, it's going to be hard. Some bars or clubs, are willing, that is, if you are good enough, to sign a contract where your band can perform at that venue every weekend, or any day out of the week.… [cont.]

A. For general career information: and can search 'police and detectives', 'private detectives and investigators' or such. It seems as though people with a bachelor's (four-year) degree may get promoted to homicide (or general) detective more readily than those with less schooling (though with no guarantees). Just a word to the wise that the job is supposed to be nothing like how the television shows portray detectives with the director saying, "Cut" ;) I agree with the other postee that mentioned how aiming for the highest grades possible should be the goal while in school :) With schooling, please steer clear of those online, for-profit schools (may have 'brick and mortar' buildings and may be 'accredited') such as penn foster,… [cont.]

What sort of primer should I use to prep a marble fireplace?
Q. Ok I know it's an odd question but I'm a childminder and have recently moved house, the room which I have bagged as my playroom had a fireplace in with a "marble" fireback. Originally I tried to stick a piece of painted hardboard against it as my blackboard, but this wasn't successful. I now want to prime and paint the marble itself to use as my blackboard, but aren't sure what sort of primer I need to use, so am looking for the answer here please.
Asked by LilyB7 - Thu Sep 24 05:30:31 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I don't think it will work for blackboard paint finish as it will not be that well adhered to the dense marble surface and won't take the abuse. Marble is an expensive stone. I would cut a piece of rigid plywood to the size you want and dab a few spots of silicone and press it against the fireplace. This could then be removed later.

A. School Passes allow you to pay for school journeys in advance so there is no need to find change for fares every day. The passes are available for journeys within Tyne and Wear and can be used on all local public transport services in the county, including bus, Metro, Shields Ferry and Northern Rail local rail services from Sunderland to Blaydon. School Passes allow you one free journey to school before 9.30am and one free journey from school to home between 2.00pm-6.00pm. You can buy a School Pass for the whole academic year or just for each term. To apply for a pass, please complete an application form in block capitals and send with a passport-size colour photograph, a cheque/postal order for the appropriate amount made payable to… [cont.]

A. There are plenty of options, it just depends on your interests. Graduates of Economics programs can become: CEO's Financial analysts, planners, researchers for the government or private institutions, or banks. Business consultants Investment banker or consultant Another option is to go on to law school. Law schools look favorably upon Economics degrees, and they generally have higher scores on the LSAT I'm dual majoring in Economics and Marketing Management. I want to go into consulting.

Watching the PFA player of the year awards the other night was about as entertaining as watching the Eastenders or Hollyoaks omnibus depending on which one it.
