Meals occur primarily at homes, restaurants, and cafeterias, but may occur anywhere. Regular meals occur on a daily basis, typically several times a day. Special meals are usually held in conjunction with such occasions as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and holidays. A meal is different from a snack in that meals are larger, more varied, and more filling, while snacks are more likely to be small, high-calorie affairs; however, any food eaten in small amounts at an unscheduled time can be classified as a snack. A picnic is an outdoor meal where one brings one's food, such as a sandwich or a prepared meal (sometimes in a picnic basket). It often takes place in a natural or recreative area, such as a park, forest, beach, or grassy lawn. On long drives a picnic may take place at a road-side stop such as a rest area. A banquet is a large, often formal, and elaborate meal with many guests and dishes. From Wikipedia under the

Q. I am 5'4" and 215 lbs. I need to find a meal replacement that is affordable and will help slim me down used in conjunction with diet and exercise. It is too hard to find healthy stuff to eat where I work and no way to pack lunches. I want a shake that I can use to stay full until dinner. Any help please? I would also like it to have few sugars. Thanks in advance! Asked by d-- - Sat Nov 7 20:27:37 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. You'd be better off making your own meal replacement drink (shake) and packing it in a thermos. Here's what I put in my protein shake: 3 cups water 1/2 cup unsweetened soy milk 2 scoops protein powder 1 1/2 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa 1/2 banana 1 whole apple or pear 1 unpeeled carrot 2 tablespoons flax meal 1 1/2 tablespoon brewer's yeast Blend all the ingredients together. The fruit will sweeten your shake without adding calories, and all the fiber will promote feelings of fullness. Answered by Gourdman - Mon Nov 9 14:30:31 2009 How complete a meal are olives?
Q. I've read before about old cultures using olives as a base food for meals, and from what i've understood, perhaps as the entire meal. Now personally I could see this is a lunch or breakfast, cos i like olives and i can eat a lot of them happily. Questions i have are is how healthy is that as a meal? and did ancient cultures use it as a main base food? Asked by sketchwork - Mon Aug 20 23:32:53 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. I don't know about ancient cultures, but the way olives are preserved today gives them an extremely high sodium content which is not healthy. I love olives too, but they are not real good for us.
