Q. i have this world history project about Ancient Greece and were presenting it like an exhibit kind of thing and i just have 2 more questions that i cant find the answers to. -How has Greek Cuisine evolved? -What did the Royalty and the Upper class ate in Ancient Greece? thankyouu if you know the answers! due by monday. ahh thanks!

A. In ancient times, Greeks didn't eat meat unless it had been hunted and killed in the wild or had been sacrificed to a god. They thought it was wrong to kill a domestic, tame animal for food. They had cows and also goats and chickens. Mainly, the ancient Greeks ate grains (barley, wheat or millet), olives, and wine. These items, along with garlic, onions, and mustard, were fairly cheap and easily obtained. They also ate lots of fish. Everyone ate eels, shellfish, squid and fish; wealthier people would also have eaten turtle, caviar, and oysters. They also grew vegetables and fruits, and these foods were dried or preserved in honey for winter. When I traveled in Greece about ten years ago, olives were still plentiful as was seafood… [cont.]
